The following publications are calling for submissions. Please read all submission guidelines carefully and follow them to the letter. Some also have entry fees and prizes.
Poetica Christi - Closes 30 April 2025
Poetica Christi is an organisation that puts out a good quality anthology every year, based around a particular theme. A number of us have had poems in these anthologies.
This year’s theme is ‘ Life’s Tapestry’ and poems can be up to 50 lines long.

InScribe Journal - Closes 26 June 2025
This is the journal put out by the creative arts department at Tabor College. They have two issues a year and it’s a high-quality production.
The theme for this issue is ‘Journey’.
They are looking for short fiction and short nonfiction up to 3500 words and poetry up to 50 lines.

Stories of Life - Closes 31 July 2025
‘Stories of Life’ is an anthology that has been running for the last nine years. They put out a good-quality anthology each year, and a few of our members have had stories included.
All stories must be true and include some faith element. They have a junior section and two adult sections—one up to 500 words and one up to 1500 words. You can submit one story in each section if you wish.
June is also their feedback month, allowing you to submit a draft for comment before the final submission.

Rhiza Edge - Closes 31 August 2025
Rhiza Edge is running a short story competition for two future anthologies:
- Migration and Diaspora
- Breakthroughs in History
Stories must be between 1000 and 5000 words. They must also be clean and suitable for audiences 12+, as they will be sold in schools. Rhiza Edge publishes books of a high quality, so it might be helpful if you have a look at some of their previous volumes.
